Maracanós

Artist: Airto Moreira e Ricardo Bacelar

Release: 2026

Airto Moreira and Ricardo Bacelar present “Maracanós”, an original album born from the meeting of two internationally acclaimed artists with strong musical identities. Primarily instrumental, the project brings together Airto’s distinctive percussion and Bacelar’s expressive piano in a work that moves freely between contemporary jazz, Brazilian roots, and sonic experimentation. The album also features a special appearance by Flora Purim on the track “Voo da Tarde”.

Recorded at Jasmin Studio in Fortaleza, “Maracanós” was shaped through a spontaneous and collaborative creative process, marked by artistic exchange and freedom. Its sound blends acoustic instruments, synthesizers, and electronic textures, creating an immersive experience that highlights improvisation, harmonic depth, and the interaction between musicians.

Featuring contributions such as the Kalimera String Quartet and arrangements by Liduíno Pitombeira, the album moves away from predictable formats and invites an open and attentive listening experience. “Maracanós” ultimately stands as a celebration of creativity and musical freedom, reflecting the convergence of diverse sonic and cultural landscapes.
